We think it is with Revation LinkLive. The Star Tribune profiled a partnership between two of our great customers Zipnosis and Fairivew Health Services that is being enabled and enhanced by our LinkLive Healthcare solution. LinkLive Healthcare has enabled Fairview to deliver care more efficiently and effectively within their organization. Now, it’s being used as the secure real-time link for voice or chat described by the Star Tribune to bring potential new patients directly from the Zipnosis website to Fairview Nurse Advisors. We think this is a great win in terms of convenience and speed of care for patients using the Zipnosis service who may need some medical system follow-up as well as for both Zipnosis and Fairview.

LinkLive Healthcare enables real-time, secure, compliant patient communications via the cloud

BLOOMINGTON, Minn., Jan. 5, 2012- Revation Systems, Inc., a leading provider of secure collaboration, messaging and unified communication software, today announced the launch of its LinkLive Healthcare solution. LinkLive Healthcare is a virtual care delivery suite comprising encrypted Internet-based voice, video, messaging and collaboration applications, and available at compelling price points to organizations seeking to improve care delivery and increase operational efficiencies.

The LinkLive Healthcare platform enables healthcare organizations, patients and their caregivers to collaborate in truly dynamic and affordable ways. LinkLive enhances the quality of provider-patient engagements by facilitating communications around care issues in a timely manner, and its secured presence in the cloud preserves the highest levels of regulatory compliance.

“Organizations using LinkLive Healthcare can dramatically reduce their costs and improve both the reach and speed of care delivery,” said Dave Hemler, Revation Systems CEO. “We’re confident that by making this affordable technology available to any healthcare organization we can enable a significant shift forward in the delivery of healthcare.”

Jeffrey Young, Children’s Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota CIO, agreed. “Revation’s LinkLive Healthcare solution offered our telemedicine program a fast, secure, cost-effective solution that was easier to deploy than other alternatives we had considered.”

LinkLive Healthcare streamlines healthcare interactions with a diverse but integrated set of real-time communications tools that standardize the user interface and experience across multiple devices and media types. The unified communications solution facilitates webcam videoconferencing; secure file transfers such as a PDF of a patient record or treatment protocol; VoIP telephony; secure email that is HIPAA compliant; secure screen sharing; instant messaging and text messaging. All of this is delivered securely via the cloud and doesn’t require the expensive, dedicated infrastructure typically associated with telehealth solutions.

“The industry has been open to the concept of telehealth for years, but historically there have been huge adoption challenges, not the least of which has been cost,” said Perry Price, Revation Systems president and co-founder. “Dedicated video conferencing, teleconferencing and collaboration solutions require significant upfront capital investments and the industry has been hesitant to invest in these decentralized and costly solutions without clear reimbursement models.

“Just as the smartphone has emerged as an integrated multi-purpose solution to consumer demand for portable media, productivity, and communications tools, LinkLive Healthcare answers the healthcare industry’s need for integrated care delivery tools that deliver healthcare at the right time, in the right way and at lower cost,” said Price.

A recent InMedica report predicted that the global market for telehealth equipment would reach $6.28 billion by 2020. Revation’s solution has applications for various segments of the healthcare market; in addition to primary healthcare providers, LinkLive Healthcare is a functional and effective collaboration tool for pharmacists, therapists, nursing home managers and other patient providers and caregivers.

Revation Systems was founded in 2003, and first brought its LinkLive cloud collaboration and communication solution to market in 2004. In that time, the company has become a leading provider of integrated, cloud-based communication applications for the finance and contact center industries.

About Revation Systems, Inc.
Founded in 2003, Revation Systems enables growing healthcare organizations to create and streamline meaningful patient interactions and other communications with LinkLive Healthcare, a versatile suite of secure Internet-based voice, video, messaging and collaboration solutions available at compelling price points to growing healthcare organizations.

From encrypted email to secure desktop sharing and secure voice and video collaboration, Revation Systems’ LinkLive is the first truly unified communications platform delivered via the cloud. With corporate roots in the finance industry, Revation Systems serves large hospital systems and provider groups, leading banks and credit unions, government agencies, and other organizations across more than 20 states and three countries.

The Minneapolis StarTribune showcased the exciting work that the Fairview Eagan Clinic is doing to change the way healthcare is delivered in Minnesota (see the full article at http://www.startribune.com/lifestyle/wellness/122394029.html). One of the solutions profiled in the article is video appointments with the doctor. Revation LinkLive is powering those virtual visits, enabling patients to conduct follow-up appointment with the doctor from their home PC instead of having to come into the clinic. This allows Fairview to both increase the access to quality care while minimizing its cost – something hugely needed in today’s world of healthcare reform.
